The girls on the Front Row are the "DeVere Dancers." Names from autograph page below read:
Patrica Carruthers Jenny Dana, Jinnie Bambridge, Marilyn Welch, Rusty Miller, Angela Chamberlain
Ann(?) Cattledje(?), Brenda Morris, Celia Ward, Judy Lynn, Deanna Wright (?), Brenda Gaye
No.53 is Rusty (real name Ann Allen) who went on to become a film extra and belly
dancer.
Jenny later married Ted Rickets - the swimming instructor.
1962 was the opening season of the
Butlins Minehead Camp,
so the above is the very first Entertainments team to work
there.
Tony Walker adds:
Harry (Row 2 No.43) later became Camp Comic.
Jackie started me on the trampoline so I could take over from him and
give him a break.
No.7 in the Back Row is Dave
Sheard,
who was
the drummer in the "3 Kays Trio" (Verdi 3).
He later went on to become an
Entertainments Manager.
We are truly grateful to PENNY HOLMES
for the photo and some of the names,
to Tony Walker for additional names, and Jenny Cook for sharing the Marie De Vere autographs page
